Carkraft experience is coming to Rockingham Motor Speedway

Are you desperate to get behind the wheel but not quite old enough yet?

Or maybe you never got round to learning and want a few taster sessions first?

CarKraft Experience is coming to Corby and could be just the head start you need to get you on the road as soon as possible.

The award winning driver's experience gives youngsters the opportunity to start their journey in learning to drive from the age of 15 years old and will be offering lessons to Corby people on Sunday, June 21, at Rockingham Motor Speedway.

CarKraft Experience isn't just open to non drivers, those drivers who'd like to gain a little more experience to be safer on the roads are welcome to attend too.

The 2 following workshops will be held:

Starting Off (for non drivers) a classroom workshop led by an Advance Driving Instructor (ADI), which covers Road Safety, drink/drug driving, mobile phones, distractions, how to find the right instructor and looking at best ways to get insurance.

Driving Lesson participants experience their first driving lesson in a real environment with professional instruction. This session builds confidence, awareness and greater appreciation for the requisite skills to become an accomplished driver.

Challenging Behaviours (for drivers) a workshop led by two very experienced front line Police Officers. This challenges adverse behaviours and attitudes including the Fatal Four. Kick Plate/Ice Hill they both replicate adverse road conditions and allow participants to experience loss of control in a safe environment. They then practice driving techniques designed to recognise and avoid situations which may lead to loss of control. Observed Drive with a highly experienced Police Advance Driver. The officer suggests advanced techniques to be integrated into their driving, hazard perception, the system of car control, enhanced observation and defensive driving skills. Participants are then encouraged to undertake advanced driver tuition and benefit from a skill for life.
